A great day awaits you, as you embark on a fascinating journey to the famous Kuranda Village. Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, for your journey up to Kuranda. You will have free time to explore this quaint little ‘village in the rainforest’. Activities and sights to see and do include The Heritage Markets, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and Birdworld (additional fee). On your return journey to Cairns enjoy the Kuranda Scenic Train with a Gold Class ticket. Wind through hand hewn tunnels, across bridges and around curves on the world famous Railway.

There are 2 stops enroute to explore, including boardwalks and the CSIRO Interpretive Centre. Our coach is waiting at Caravonica Lakes to transfer you to Hartley's Crocodile Adventure park. With this great value 4WD tour from Cairns to the wonderful Chillagoe Caves, you'll be amazed by towering limestone pillars, Aussie wildlife and more!
Your naturalist guide will meet you at your accommodation and after introductions all around we drive west approximately 200 kms to embark on a remarkable journey back in time.
The first stop is Skybury Coffee Plantation to enjoy delicious local coffee, tea and morning tea with your fellow travellers looking out over the amazing view. Wander the gift shop and pick up yourself up a treat! From here you will head over the Great Diving Range out into the Western Water Shed area to the Historic Mining town of Chillagoe, famous for the Copper Mining back at the turn of the century.
Once at Chillagoe a local ranger will take you on a guided tour into another world to explore the Chillagoe Caves. As you make your way through the limestone towers that rise above the flat plains of Chillagoe you will be amazed with the fossillised remains of this lost world and the great limestone formations that form this cave system. Discover the Chillagoe Smelters, Balancing Rock and Aboriginal Rock Art before making your way to a 100-year-old Aussie Pub for lunch.
Finally, visit Granite Gorge Nature Park to explore the lush landscape and get up close to the famous rock wallabies that inhabit the area.
