Our driver will meet you at your accommodation and check you in for your tour using our Kuranda Boarding Pass. The pass includes a detailed itinerary, pre-allocated preferential Kuranda Scenic Rail seating, map of Kuranda and discounted entry into selected attractions.

Transfer to Smithfield to board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your journey to Kuranda. Be amazed as you glide silently over and through the rainforest. There are two stations en route where you can alight and enjoy a walk through the rainforest; visit the Rainforest Discovery Zone at Red Peak Station, and take in the amazing views of Barron Falls from The Edge Lookout.

Cairns Aquarium

This world-Class, modern aquarium showcases the incredible species and habitats found exclusively in Far North Queensland. Visitors are able to see many of the creatures that cannot be found anywhere else in the world or are rarely seen due to their nocturnal habits. Several rare, endangered, unusual, and even deadly specimens are on display.

More than 5,000 creatures from land, lakes, mangroves, shoreline, reefs, and open ocean ecosystems are on display. Major themed exhibits include: The Open Ocean, The Great Barrier Reef, River Monsters, Rivers and Streams, Life in the Mangroves, Coral Atoll, Reptiles and Amphibians of the Rainforest, Dangers of the Reef, and much more.

One of the many highlights of The Cairns Aquarium is a two part 20 metre long 270 degree acrylic underwater viewing tunnel through into a 360 degree open ocean viewing shark lagoon where you can experience Australia's only school of Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks in a two million litre, five metre high deep water exhibit. Here you will witness the awesome forces of the open ocean from all angles and see the interactions of three metre sharks, giant stingrays, fearsome guitarfish, fast swimming unicorn fish and dozens of other reef species.

Open daily 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Last admission one hour prior to close.
